Rotax Engine

80 hp Rotax 912

This is the standard engine used in the Savannah and many other light sport aircraft. It is dependable and fairly fuel efficient and has a 1500 hr. TBO.

4 cylinder, 4 stroke liquid/air cooled engine with opposed cylinders, dry sump forced lubrication with separate 3l (.8 gal US) oil tank, automatic adjustment by hydraulic valve tappet, 2 CD carburetors, mechanical fuel pump, electronic dual ignition, electric starter, integrated reduction gear i= 2.273 (optional 2.43).

100 hp Rotax 912S

This is almost identical to the 912, but has more power. Interestingly, the fuel consumption at cruise is not much higher with the 912S as it gets the additional power from a combination of slightly increased displacement and higher compression.

4 cylinder, 4 stroke liquid/air cooled engine with opposed cylinders, dry sump forced lubrication with separate 3l (.8 gal US) oil tank, automatic adjustment by hydraulic valve tappet, 2 CD carburetors, mechanical fuel pump, electronic dual ignition, electric starter, integrated reduction gear i= 2.43.

Detailed Info
The 100HP* 912 ULS aircraft engine is based on the field proven 81 HP Rotax 912 UL design.
The Rotax 912 ULS is not simply an 81 HP 912 UL with different pistons.
Through careful research and development, Rotax has made many design changes and improvements to obtain performance increases while maintaining the same external dimensions. See important installation information for more details.

65 hp 2 Stroke Rotax 582

This is one of several less expensive engines offered on the Bingo. It provides exceptional performance for about half the cost of the installed Rotax 912. However, its fuel consumption is higher and the TBO is only 300 hrs.

2 cylinder, 2 stroke liquid cooled engine with rotary valve inlet, electronic dual ignition, dual circuit cooling system with integrated water pump and thermostat, exhaust system, rewind starter. Single or dual carburetor options available.
